    TSDZ2 hitting chainstay! (Pics)

Good idea, I have some somewhere.

    TSDZ2 hitting chainstay! (Pics)

Well I managed to find a bit of plastic in the shed and made a washer out of it. Just the right size to stop fouling the chain stay. I would of liked maybe an extra millimetre for the clamping nut but it's on and holding. Could go with a bit better cable management but it's give me a...

    TSDZ2 hitting chainstay! (Pics)

The main ring nut on the other side just fits on as you can see in pic 4. So if I can find some washer to fit on the crank side of the BB that just keeps the gear housing touching the chain stay but taking the pressure off that should suffice. Quick search brings these up...

    TSDZ2 hitting chainstay! (Pics)

Wow. Nealh I thought you were having a laugh with the hammer remark. The Carrera is over 10 years old and it's an old zelos Magnesium frame. BB is about 74mm wide. Surprised it does not fit as it's an XC bike, MTB would have a lot fatter chainstays. Well I won't be putting a hammer to it so...

    TSDZ2 hitting chainstay! (Pics)

First time fitting. The gear housing seems to be hitting the chainstay. Is this normal? The 2 5mm washers it comes with also are not enough to tighten the bracket.

    Hi. First ebike conversion.

I would of thought just a long bar with holes all the way up would good. Cut to length if needed. I'll have to have a look in local DIY shop. I'm certainly not drilling holes in the downtime.

    Hi. First ebike conversion.

Yes I won't be fixing it upside down just for waterproofing sake. I would of thought there were loads of adapters out there for such things but I don't think there is. I've managed to find this but not sure if it's long enough...

    Hi. First ebike conversion.

Ordered this one in the end. Not sure when it will arrive. One thing I've noticed with these type of batteries is the bracket has the fixing holes at the top. Most bikes water bottle bracket fixing holes are near the bottom of the down tube. So basically the bracket looks like it would fit if...

    Hi. First ebike conversion.

Thanks. I'll measure my bike tomorrow but there is someone at work with an electric bike and there frame looked as small as mine and the battery they have is pretty much Same size as the first one you posted. where do you get your batteries from or do you have a purpose built?

    Hi. First ebike conversion.

Cheers. Health and work issues have put it in the back burner but hopefully get it on soon. How do you know this one is 29e? Won't be derestricting the unit so that's not an issue. I'll check them sizes out. Are there no side release out there? They should be made a lot more I reckon.

    Hi. First ebike conversion.

Hello there. This is bad but I still have not fitted my TSDZ2 yet. I need to do it now though as with the coronavirus causing havoc around the globe my income has been severely reduced so I want to keep the car off the road and cycle to work. A bit of electric power will make this less...

    Hi. First ebike conversion.

Thanks. I'll leave the Samsung alone and will probably get the side release to be sure. I'll wait a little see if any eBay codes come up before Christmas. So you would go for the less ah battery? What kind of range would you get from 11.4ah.

    Hi. First ebike conversion.

Some very good info here. Does anyone own this battery http://www.pswpower.com/ven.php?cargo.2018-2v-sy7p It says for 36v 500w motor but will it run the 36v 250w TSDZ2? Also my frame is small so how does it attach/detach? I have made a template from the measurement given and it's quite tight...

    Hi. First ebike conversion.

Thanks. I'll stick with it then although if I had the choice again I would go 48v. I should of researched that little bit more but eBay had the 10% code so I pulled the trigger.

    Hi. First ebike conversion.

So what is the 36v like? Should I be looking to sell it before I've even opened it? No point in spending more money on a 36v battery of it ain't that great.

    Hi. First ebike conversion.

The only 250w ones I see are 36v. Don't matter now anyway as I already have the 36v delivered yesterday.

    Hi. First ebike conversion.

Bummer. I heard about a 48v TSDZ2 but didn't see any. Mine was also from PSW power and I'll probably get the battery from them as well. 30 to 40 ain't bad though. A ride to family members is a 35 mile round trip and commute to work is a 12 mile round trip. Does the 48v version have more power?

    Hi. First ebike conversion.

Thanks. 30 on sport sounds great. I'm always someone that conserves energy so that all sounds good. Can I ask on the TSDZ2 what happens if your peddling past the top speed of the unit. Does it still keep powering the unit it does it cut the power?

    Hi. First ebike conversion.

Brilliant cheers. I'll steer clear of them then. I need to have a good measure of some of these frame batteries then as my frame is quite small I think. How much milage should I expect from a 36v 13ah battery on flat roads?

    Hi. First ebike conversion.

Cheers I'll have to have a scurry around. I saw someone powering there's with RC model batteries which would be good so you could carry spares. I'm looking for decent mileage around 50 or so.
