    Komoot cycling app!

I too use this app and find it to be wonderful, both for recording and planning outdoor activities. I especially like the ability to take pictures en-route to provide a more interesting record of your trip (see example below from a recent kayak outing)...

Help! Looking for advice please, for 1000 watt motor for Pawtrekker Dog Scooter 20 inch wheel conversion

Hmmm, I had no intention of getting into a discussion about which configuration is best, they all have pros and cons IMO. Similarly I have no issue with fitting/using a PAS, I was just looking at a simple conversion for my MTB.

Help! Looking for advice please, for 1000 watt motor for Pawtrekker Dog Scooter 20 inch wheel conversion

Sorry, yes, agreed, as long as you don’t opt for the PAS facility rather relying solely on a throttle.

Help! Looking for advice please, for 1000 watt motor for Pawtrekker Dog Scooter 20 inch wheel conversion

Brilliant, thank you. It was the front wheel kit I had in mind as I have just finished rebuilding the bike with a new truvative splined bb and don’t fancy having to change it the square type. Plus the kind of assistance you describe is exactly what I am looking for.

Help! Looking for advice please, for 1000 watt motor for Pawtrekker Dog Scooter 20 inch wheel conversion

Hi Trevor, I have just visited your website and was impressed with your scooter conversion. I also note you mention converting a GT mtb with a kit from cyclotricity and was curious which kit you used and whether or not you ran into any issues? I have a GT Avalanche Expert mtb which I would like...

    Best bicycle navigation software?

Another vote here for Komoot. Once you have bought the map for your local area (or area of interest, or, as I have, the global map) you can create a map in advance and ‘save it for offline use’. You don’t then need a data connection for the device used actually when riding you pre-mapped route...

GoPro mount for the Woosh Rio

Hi, I described it in an earlier post here https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/recommend-me-an-iphone-holder-for-middle-of-handlebars.37735/post-565322 The link to the actual product https://www.quadlockcase.co.uk/products/bike-mount Plus you need this to attach to your phone case...

GoPro mount for the Woosh Rio

I use a QuadLock mount to hold my mobile phone onto my Cube handlebar and am very pleased with it. They do many different types of adaptors including ones specifically fo the GoPro range. Example here; https://www.quadlockcase.co.uk/products/gopro-adaptor-for-out-front-mount

    new cassette and chain???

Hi, 1800 seems quite low miles, so I would try adjusting cable tension first using the adjusters at the derailleur and/or gear change lever. Cable stretch could be the cause of your issue rather than a worn chain/cassette.

Kiox software update - now error code 500

This has been reported before (or certainly very similar) https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/bosch-error-code-500.26355/

Woosh Lost keys - what can be done?

Having read this thread with interest I am now concerned that the Bosch battery in my Cube ebike is vulnerable to thieves during those odd occasions when the bike is left unattended (E.g shopping trips). I have a good quality lock and cable for securing to a solid object plus pinlocks on other...

    Delimiting / tuning

There is no limiter as such, particularly on bikes fitted with the recent generation Bosch motors. Once you are past 15.5Mph all effort toward forward motion is your own, but the motor itself is not working against you, just the weight of the bike itself.

petition to increase the speed limit

Fair point and funnily enough I will be able to put this to the test soon as we holiday down there for a couple of weeks. We have taken regular bikes in the past and agree there are some testing climbs (the one out of Mousehole springs instantly to mind, might need Turbo for that one!).

    Woosh 1st 1000 miles

One other thought davetez, Sport is the 3rd highest setting on the bike and as a result will be putting a lot of torque into your drivetrain when you set off. Have you tried starting in eco and then moving up to sport as the need arises?

    Speed Difference

Just to add, I haver noticed the exact same issue (display giving a higher speed / distance compared to GPS, appx + 1 Mph) with my new Bosch powered ebike and Intuvia screen. My bike is due a free first service later this month so I will mention it when I take it in and see what they say.

petition to increase the speed limit

I don’t understand this oft repeated phrase about the desire for a peddlec to be designed to reach 20mph. On a flat or even slight incline I do not find it difficult to maintain a cruising speed around 20mph on my ebike with only a little effort. Downhill this obviously rises further. While I...

whats the difference between Orbea F30 and F40 flat bar?

You can compare models on the Obea site here https://www.orbea.com/gb-en/bicycles/compare/alma-29-m-ltd Other than the things already mentioned the cheaper F40 has an extra rear cog (9 vs 8) and a single chain ring Vs the double on the F30, both of which IMO make a for better setup, especially...

Bosch Intuvia USB not charging my phone

I believe the output current on the intuvia port is only 500ma which is not sufficient to charge a modern smartphone on its own, especially with the screen on all the time and running a power intensive app like a GPS tracker. At best it should slow down the rate at which the phone will exhaust...

    Chain lube

Actually I’ve gone back to 3 in 1 as I find it works in better and lasts longer than anything else. Obviously it’s a wet lube so take appropriate precautions when riding, but personally I swear by it.
