    Woosh faro

Quick update Removed rear wheel and laid it flat (gear cassette up) Then squirted copious amounts of degreaser solution (washing up liquid mix) into the cassette holder whilst turning the gears back and forwards until the pawls showed resistance. Then dried thoroughly with the wife's hair dryer...

    Woosh faro

Quick question is the Faro freewheel as I believe my problem of the rear wheel not engaging when the crank, chain and gears all spin is pawls sticking. Will 3in 1 oil and better maintenance help to unstick the pawls and return the drive train to actually driving the wheel. Spinning the cranks...

Help! Which is right for me?

ln my bias opinion the faro makes a smooth road bike with 28 c tyres and extras ie guards, rack, stand, lights etc But stripped of accessories and fitted with 35c and a few upgraded carbon parts handle bar seat post peddles etc the faro is a great little lightweight gravel bike. Just keep it...

    Assist levels

Thanks sjpt pretty sure the 5 levels can be set to your desired range. But a bit worried that having level 1 to what is minimum ie 10% may mess with controller/battery as I’ve noticed voltage is set for each level or current for each level, not sure which.

    Assist levels

Quick question, my display the kd85c can’t be put into zero assist and still display speed etc. but the amount of assist in each level can be changed so the question is will i cause any issue by setting level 1 at it’s lowest which is 10% then level 2 at 50% then increase 3,4, and 5 up to max...

Long range hilly terrain road/path bike.

Hi the conundrum you’re facing is the more powerful long range bikes especially NCM weigh in at about 28-29kg heavy to lift on or off trains but offer much better assistance than lightweight options with smaller range batteries. A compromise usually has to be reached depending on the intended usage.

Classed as City (wide ass) Tour (avg ass) and Road (narrow ass) don’t think that’s their technical terms, but you get the gist.

    Comfort V Weight penalty

Anyone fitted the redshift shockstop suspension stem or the tranzx type suspension stem, wondering how these perform in the real world. Have read some reviews but one never knows how independent these assessments are.

    Comfort V Weight penalty

Love the smoothness of the Faro and with the 35c tyres it’s almost the perfect do it all, only one you’ll ever need bike. 99% of my rides are between 18 and 25 miles and the 8ah battery is easily capable of achieving this on a variety of surfaces and terrain. The weight saving changes I’m...

    Comfort V Weight penalty

Thanks for reply’s bike is for training/pleasure so rainy weather and muddy routes avoided, mostly. Seat post change to carbon fibre in the near future. Handle bar stem suspension gimmick or indispensable, will probably go carbon again when the coffers recover. Interesting the crank set I may...
