    Help! Electrickery!

Yes...EBikes Direct are a wonderful company...I can't wait to deal with them again! OK, there was a little discrepancy in the final refund, but as I am a Buddhist and give 90% of my money away to Buddhist causes anyway, it didn't really matter!

Full Refund when I return the bike...I have to put the bike in the box though...mmmmmmmm The wonders of social media...and I know they're at it! They don't like it up them Captain Mainwaring!

    Help! Electrickery!

Returning is easy to do...if only! Even thinking about it is making me sweat! I'm going to make this my final post, because some people are totally unable to grasp the mental health problems I experience. The battery seems to be the issue...at least 99% chance I would think, and I would like...

    Thanks for that.

    Help! Electrickery!

I have indeed sent a letter to ebd stating the bike is rubbish, and it is rubbish...for me. I have problems cycling up a 1% gradient without help...i.e, the help of a battery. So with a knackered battery, the bike might as well end up in the Swale! Others may say, I can still use the bike...

    Help! Electrickery!

Out of interest, how long should these batteries last...mine excluded of course. How many trips can you make, how many charges do they take before you really have to look at getting another one?

    Help! Electrickery!

I know what they're not running with, and that's a moral compass. Many years ago i used to be a Doorman in South Africa, so on the subject of taking a breath, that's what their staff members would be doing if I got hold of them as i shoved their head down the bog! ;)

    Help! Electrickery!

I made sure I charged the battery when I first got it. It did mention in the paper work that it was best to keep it fully charged, it didn't mention that is was rather imperative to keep it charged though. As I've mentioned elsewhere, I've sent ebd a letter, and if I don't get a reply by...

    Help! Electrickery!

I'm afraid most of that went over my head. I do understand that it's probably the battery and I can take it from there though. I sent a letter to ebd yesterday explaining my situation and condition, and hopefully i will get a reasonable reply...i'm not holding my breath though! If that fails...

    Help! Electrickery!

Sadly, that is one of the problems with me/this...I find it impossible to do even trivial things like constantly (or even once) returning things when I feel it's not my fault and i'm being screwed by someone!

    Help! Electrickery!

Goodness, if I had bought a bike at that price and it didn't work I don't know what i'd have done...probably jumped over my back fence and into the river Swale which backs onto my garden! Of course with you buying a bike at that price, they would have bent over backwards to sort it! They...

    Help! Electrickery!

In my correspondence with them I always found them somewhat condescending...as if they thought I was an idiot for not knowing what was wrong with the bike. Their last email was sarcastic in the extreme. The majority of people don't like to complain, especially the elderly. If all the people...

    Help! Electrickery!

Thanks for that, I guessed it was something simple. Now at least I have a starting point in trying to rectify the problem. Well not that simple I suppose, because a new battery is bloody expensive. Now I hate E Bikes Direct even more for causing me a shed load of stress, fancy sending a new...

    Help! Electrickery!

If your friend has high praise for ebikesdirect he must be one of the lucky ones. Law of averages states someone must get a good bike! Have just sent a letter off to ebd stating my problems and how the bike is rubbish. Had a look MSE and it looks a good site if the letter fails.

    Help! Electrickery!

I did have a neighbour check the battery and he said it was putting out half its amount of 36v, but then said it was probably a two cell battery so it was ok. Are these batteries two cell?

    Help! Electrickery!

I always make sure the battery is fully charged. Sometimes it will work (the bike) and it will take me somewhere...no more than a mile to date...but rarely does that happen. On the rare occasion that it does work, it can either pack in when i'm riding, or when I've stopped. Sometimes two of...
