I know, I've just ordered a crack tool and bosch spider tool, I'm going to take the chain off to make sure its definitely the motor clicking and not something else. I just going to put the video up, hopefully someone may have inspiration on what it is.

I do trust the dealer, their quite a big Midlands outfit and upto now they have been good, providing you speak to the right person. I just dont want to get to the stage where I'm finding problems that dont really exist because I no longer have faith in the motors. Cant see the point in asking...

Thanks for the advice, I'm not sure what's in the motors hence taking it back to the shop, they decided the original needed replacing under warranty due to them not being allowed to open them up. As the new one is less that 2 weeks old with only 50 miles on, again I will let them make the call...

Just thought I'd update on the motor, finally got the bike back after 6 weeks waiting for the new motor, low and behold the new motor is now on its way back to Bosch as well. after 50 miles it started clicking/popping every half turn of the crank. not sure how much I trust the motors now.....

Fingers crossed it will be back soon.

Under normal circumstance they say 7 to 14 day for a replacement, but due to the fact the factory and Bosch are running as per the rest of the world the have said it will be a prolonged wait unfortunately.

Just an update, after waiting 5 weeks to get it in the shop, they have decided its a warranty issue and noe i could be waiting up to another 5 weeks for bosch to check it and send a replacement. As suspected the dealer cant open the motor and have said it could be something as simple as a clip...

Im 9 months in on my cube, and it currently waiting a new bosch motor under warranty having only covered 500 miles

Interesting! I dont have a chain tensioner but didn't think it could be the rear gears. Is there an easy way to check this?

I do have hub gears, but its definitely coming from the motor side and not the rear gears. It generally happens mid ride when i increase the pressure on the motor without changing gear. Without the motor assistance on i can feel something not quite as it was a few months ago, a slight grinding...

Yes thats what i cant understand, putting it on a computer diagnostic want do anything. They may as well just get a new motor on order to save time and hassle, unless bosch will strip it down to chech before sending a new one out?

I pretty much said the same thing, he then started waffling on about putting it on the diagnostic and sending the results off to bosch! I hope i dont have a battle on my hands with them, spending that sort of money on a bike im hoping its just a quick motor replacement under warranty.

Thanks for reply, it is low mileage but has always been used throughout the year albeit only for a few miles at a time. Since lockdown its had much more hard use which is when the problem started coming to light. I have contacted the dealer today and i now have to wait till mid July to grt it...

Why get rid of the bike? Would it not just suffice just getting a new motor fitted by bosch under warranty...

Thanks for the info, the display is not showing any codes, I guess its a call to them in the morning and see what they say. Hopefully bosch will replace without any issue.
