Thanks for the information, all I need to do now is find a battery pack that I can fit into the case, the battery is still working but goes flat quite quickly.

This is the pack inside and has 5 wires, all the packs I have seen have 4 wires and are bigger and would not fit in the case.

I have the motor going the right way and the throttle works but I cannot get the pas to work even though I get a pulse when the magnet passes the sensor

It has the wires which I connected together, the motor ran in reverse so I disconnected the wires and then reconnected and it ran the right way, is there more to the self learning process?

Pulses are more defined with 6 magnets but only started the motor once and the would not do it again. Should the motor start when it pulses 5v or 0v?

How many pole is the best, and do I leave the magnet setting on 12 when using six magnets?

Hi I have checked the white wire from the motor and I get a pulse of voltage when turning the wheel backwards. I also checked for continuity across the red and black wires from the speed sensor which showed continuity when the magnet passed the sensor. Can this be used to give a speed reading...

It is picking up the speed from the motor at the moment, there is a white wire to the motor and a a white wire to the controller do I connect it to the motor and leave the controller wire blanked or the other way round?
