Yeah, not interested in Riese & Muller. Too expensive.

    Cube and Giant (2021)

Thanks George I must admit it does look quite nice in the matt black. Very basic though, not really what I'm looking for at this point. Thanks for the info though. If you see anything else, please let me know! Regards David

    Cube and Giant (2021)

I weigh 100kg and I know I won't be taking anywhere near 50kg of gear with me so I'm sure it'll be fine. It will be very light-weight wild camping. I'd say a maximum of 30kg. Thanks for the reminder though!

    Cube and Giant (2021)

Well, I had my eye on the 2020 Giant DailyTour E+1 and was hoping for an update of that for the 2021 model, it doesn't look like it's going to happen so I might get the 2020 model if it becomes discounted. I would definitely use the extra range of a 625wh as I plan on doing some bikepacking...

    Cube and Giant (2021)

Thanks for your reply Pichi. The Cube does have a 625 battery as well as the Giant, and I do prefer the Cube rear rack as well. I can't see me ever needing to remove it but you never know. The Giant is definitely the front runner at the moment though especially with it being much lighter than...

    Cube and Giant (2021)

Hi all I've been looking around at the different 2021 models from the various manufacturers and there's a couple that I really like. The Cube Kathmandu Hybrid SLT https://www.cube.eu/uk/2021/e-bikes/city-tour/on-road/kathmandu-hybrid/cube-kathmandu-hybrid-slt-625-teakniridium/ Giant Explore...

    Giant DailyTour 2021

Yep, I know they use Yamaha motors. The SyncDrive 'Core' is the one that I haven't seen before, the usual ones are 'Life', 'Sport' and 'Pro'.

    Giant DailyTour 2021

I'm not buying from the Slovenian site, I just wondered whether the spec would be the same for the UK model of the bike.

    Giant DailyTour 2021

Hello folks, I've been waiting for the 2021 bike models to be released before making a decision on what to buy and I found these details on the Slovenian Giant site. https://www.giant-bicycles.com/si/dailytour-eplus-1-bd-gts-2021 Is it safe to say the spec would be similar or the same for the...

    Giant Explore E+1 Pro

Thanks for replying mate, I think I'm going to wait to see what the spec of the 2021 DailyTour is. I was thinking of getting one of the Explore bikes but I saw the DailyTour with the Gates Carbon Drive and that became top of my list purely for that reason. I would like more power but you do...

    Giant Explore E+1 Pro

Hi mate, just wondering how you're getting on with the bike. I'm thinking of getting the Giant DailyTour E+1 which has the SyncDrive Life motor (60Nm). Regards David

    Hello

I'll answer your question, the rest of your comments just sounded like a lecture to be honest. When I said high-spec I meant long lasting, hard wearing parts that don't break easily and are easy to use, something that just works well, whether it's the brakes, gears, suspension etc. I'm not...

    Hello

Aww thanks Rob. Nice to hear from a new e-bike user and one that is really enjoying riding again. That's what it's all about! David

    Hello

Well, I don't like iPhones but I do think you get what you pay for with quite a lot of things. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10 at the moment! I'd rather have and not need than need and not have. I want whatever I buy to be low maintenance, whether it's tools for woodwork (my job) or in this...

    Hello

I am thinking of waiting until the 2021 version is out to see if they will 'up' the power and battery while keeping the price the same or similar to this years model. Is there any website you know where you can find out the latest specs of a bike before they are released? Press releases maybe...

    Hello

No worries! There are different variants with the Yamaha motor though, I'm looking at the SyncDrive Life with 60nm instead of the SyncDrive Sport with 70nm on a different model (even though it is £400 cheaper) because of the longer distance you can cover. Does the difference between 60, 70 or...
