I need a 60Nm replacement for our Van Raam rickshaw

So not really usable for a cargo bike?

I need a 60Nm replacement for our Van Raam rickshaw

Whoosh bikes do the Shengyi DWG22C rear hub kit which is rated at 80nm. They say it’s suitable for cargo bikes and certainly works well on my MTB. Good company to deal with and would answer any questions you have.

    Display Cable

Have used a Yosepower kit to make a front hub folding bike, the kit works well, probably better than I thought. The only problem I have is the cable to the display as it’s about a mile long and is a 1 into 5. I only need the 5 pin connector for the display as I didn’t fit the brake switches...

    Cable length

I've been fitting a yosepower kit to my folding bike. I think the cables were meant for a much larger bike!!. The motor cable is about a meter too long but I've managed to hide that in the frame. Looks fine but will be a pita when I have to remove the wheel for punctures etc. It's the 1 into 5...

conversion kit for delivery at a budget

Could look at yosepower stuff. Haven't used any of their stuff but seems to have a good enough reputation. Info on your bike would be useful.

Modifying King Meter LCD power levels

I have the same kit on my bike and very rarely go above level 3 for the same reason so the option to adjust the power settings to suit the way I ride the bike would be useful. The option to have a zero level that the other king meter displays offer would be good as I’ve a switch at the moment...

    Hydraulic Rim Brakes

Had a quick look, £10 off Fleabay, have used these to bleed shimano disc brakes and it worked fine.

    Hydraulic Rim Brakes

Is there a reason for not fitting the Magura brake to a front hub? It's a front hub I'm looking at and I would have fitted, what I presume is the more powerful brake, on the front wheel.

    Hydraulic Rim Brakes

Am in the process of converting my folding bike and was looking at the brakes. At the moment it's your standard cable V-brake. There's no mounting for a disc brake caliper so I was wondering about hydraulic rim brakes. Compared to cables are the hydraulics worth the effort and cost. There seems...

Help choosing kit - probablly Whoosh but will consider others...

Fitted the Shengyi DWG22C kit from Woosh bikes a couple of years ago and it has been faultless. Did another bike shortly after with the same kit and no problems with that either. Went for the option without the brake switches or throttle.Less wires and I prefer things to be as simple as I can...

    Longer Seatpost

Fair point about the quality, was also thinking that I’m not convinced about using shims either. With the length of the seatpost there’s going to be a fair bit of pressure on the frame and clamp.

    Longer Seatpost

The shim is just for fitting seat posts of different diameters. I still need to find a longer seatpost.

    Longer Seatpost

Am going to fit a kit, probably from yose power, to my folding bike. I could do with a longer seatpost. The one I have is 50cm and could do with a 60cm post. It’s diameter is 30.4mm. Can’t find anything. Any ideas would be much appreciated

    Yosepower kit?

Was looking at fitting a cheap kit to my folding bike. Yosepower do a kit for 20” wheels, front hub. Anybody any experience with this. Not looking for anything fancy as I have an eMTB to play with so just something to take when we’re away.

Help! Advice on an ebike conversion

Does the frame and forks have the mounting points for the disc brake calipers. If there and you used a rear hub kit you'd only need a new front wheel to have disc brakes all round. If not there look for a different bike.

    Zero assist option

Don't have the plugins for the brake sensors which is the way I did it on the last bike. Hadn't thought about the pedal sensor so the pedal sensor is the way to go. It'll be a lot cheaper than a new display as well! Thanks for the replies.

    Zero assist option

Have a King Meter KM529 display which works fine but doesn't allow the bike to have the display to remain on with no power to the motor. Is there a replacement controller that would do this. Currently has 5 power options from 1 to 5 but no 0. Any ideas on this would be appreciated.
