This seems to be an active and very helpful forum. Anybody's forum replies going straight to spam?

Right. I had to finally go into Gmail filters and make a rule never to send to spam and always go into my inbox. Haven't had a problem since.

e-Bike on a bike rack. With or without the battery?

Now that's a good idea. I didn't even know they make these. Many thanks!

e-Bike on a bike rack. With or without the battery?

Maybe down the road but for now I just want a towbar and bike carrier. This whole thing has been way more involved than I thought it would be. When I lived in California and had a Prius I installed a carrier hitch on the frame of the car and the bike carrier for two bikes fit perfectly. We...

e-Bike on a bike rack. With or without the battery?

We decided to let Toyota install the towbar and wire it up. It's going to be around £600 but I think it'll be done right.

e-Bike on a bike rack. With or without the battery?

That Thule Easyfold looks much like the one we're getting from Toyota. Both our bikes on the carrier are well within the weight limit so maybe leaving the batteries in isn't a bad idea. Rolling the bikes up on a ramp sounds much better than lifting them. Thanks!

e-Bike on a bike rack. With or without the battery?

Yeah, several companies told me they don't install towbars on a hybrids at all. I think it might have something to do with the transmission in a hybrid and towing. I finally went to Toyota and they had a tow bar for our hybrid and a carrier for e-bikes. We get it installed this week but it...

e-Bike on a bike rack. With or without the battery?

Thanks for the info. Our bike's batteries come as a unit so when they're removed the cover comes with them leaving the compartment open. It would have been better if the cover was separate but too late now. We went with Focus Planet 2 bikes. Yes, making sure the towbar/bike rack would fit our...

e-Bike on a bike rack. With or without the battery?

I was just concerned about getting caught in the rain with an open battery compartment. Cling film might be wise. Thanks.

e-Bike on a bike rack. With or without the battery?

Thanks, so no problem getting any contact points inside the battery compartment wet? Cling film might be wise I guess.

e-Bike on a bike rack. With or without the battery?

We're having a towbar installed on our car so we can haul our bikes. When we're ready to take a trip I thought I'd remove the batteries to make them a bit lighter but then I thought about the exposed battery compartment and the damage rain could do. What do you folks do? Remove the battery or...

    Schwalbe Marathon Plus Tyres

Sorry, I'm still trying to figure out sizing here in the UK. Yes, I believe Imperial Metric is 700×47C. I'll look further. Thanks.

    Schwalbe Marathon Plus Tyres

Looks interesting although I'm not sure they're available in our size, 47-622.

    Schwalbe Marathon Plus Tyres

Wow, that's real good to hear. Maybe we'll just stay with them until we can't. Thanks.

    Schwalbe Marathon Plus Tyres

We might be OK as we rarely get off into the mud. Thanks.

    Schwalbe Marathon Plus Tyres

Thanks, I haven't seen these before. They might even be a better fit.

    Schwalbe Marathon Plus Tyres

We're really enjoying our new Focus Planet 2 e-Bikes. They came with Schwalbe Energizer Active Plus P-Guard tyres and so far we haven't suffered any flats however I'm thinking about upgrading to maybe their Marathon Plus Tour. They seem like a better all round tyre good for asphalt, light gravel...

    3D printer recommendations?

Thanks, the YouTube video is interesting. I could see it becoming a fun hobby. You don't have to make useful stuff. In the future I bet it'll be the go to way of making just about everything. I think I read SpaceX makes rocket engines with 3D printing.

    3D printer recommendations?

Interesting. Thanks for posting this very positive review. I wonder, though, what can you make besides dust collectors that sit on a shelf? The printer looks like a lot of fun but what can you make that's useful? He made a water bottle carrier but that the only useful thing I saw. I'm afraid I'd...
