    Wisper Move saddle rearwards?

First question; is your seat post bracket the right way round? As others have said that's quite a large adjustment to make. Photos of seat, post and bike would help.

    Stuck pedals/freewheel

A few photos of the suspected area would make it easier to help.

    Geeko conversion kit

I'd be interested to see how you are getting along as there is a chap on another forum who's kit failed second time out and he can't get any sense out of them.

I have a Yose power front wheel conversion kit is it possible to change assist level's in the computer, I find the level between 2 and 3 to big.

I have recently fitted a Yose front hub with KD21C display and this allows you to set different numbers of assist levels; "Assist Level mode options There are 8 assist level modes: 0-3, 1-3, 0-5, 1-5, 0-7, 1-7, 0-9, 1-9." If you have this display maybe using a mode with more levels will make...

    TSDZ2 conversion Vs Full e-bike?

Thank you. Yes, I think my mind is made up on the TSDZ2. Your picture makes for a very neat look although I'll probably look at a rack battery as the clearances on both our down tubes are very tight.

    TSDZ2 conversion Vs Full e-bike?

Thank you. Interesting, I didn't know there were choices of "style" of input/output. I assume you can then play with all the various power levels in each style to tune it to your desires?

    TSDZ2 conversion Vs Full e-bike?

Thank you. Yes, this is exactly what I have already done with our Galaxy tandem! I fitted a front hub drive to our beloved tandem as it almost feels like part of us. D'oh! Never thought of it that way, maybe getting side-tracked by the idea of a lovely shiny new bike. We do have nice donor...

    TSDZ2 conversion Vs Full e-bike?

Thank you, I see your point. I notice from your biog that you have 2 second hand Motus'. These are bikes I have considered as a second hand buy as a lot have done very low milage. Have you found supply problems for spares even though it's the mighty Raleigh?

    TSDZ2 conversion Vs Full e-bike?

Many thanks for your reply. I hadn't even thought of a throttle TBH. We are both fairly fit and don't mind putting in some effort. We are also both keen not to lose any fitness that we have, just have a bit of help when it gets steep. I have also looked at light road bikes with rear hubs like...

    TSDZ2 conversion Vs Full e-bike?

I am thinking about converting two bikes (mine and my wife's) or going full mid drive e-bikes. I have read about the TSDZ2 a fair bit and like the sound of it. It is torque sensing which I would prefer, rather than the Bafang/cadence type. My question really is can the TSDZ2 really compare with...

Do I need to file dropouts?

OK my final advice to OP. You can remove some of the thread of the axle without affecting its' structural integrity (hub manufacturers recommend this), you cannot remove any material from a carefully designed frame or indeed dropout in the same way and guarantee that it does not weaken the...

Do I need to file dropouts?

I agree with Nealh about the torque arm. Your dropouts look very shallow and the frame is Aluminium. I still wouldn't file the frame or rear hanger, they are designed to use the least metal yet still give enough strength - so removing metal is going to weaken the DOs. If you accidentally create...

Do I need to file dropouts?

Can't quite see whether the axle is dropping right in, but my first thought would be never file your dropouts, file the axle if needed.

    Puncture proofing

You can also insert puncture resistant tape inside the tyre which is a bit lighter than an old tyre but works the same. Also, I cannot praise Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyres enough. They may be a little expensive but they are the only tyres I will put on any of my hybrid bikes now (electric or not).

    Newbie

We have an old(90's) Dawes Galaxy Twin. I have ordered a Yose 36v250W front hub kit. It hasn't arrived yet so I can't say too much. We are looking to do most of our riding without the motor but it will hopefully gives us more flexibility with our routes when we don't have to worry about hills...

    Newbie

Hi All. I have been tinkering with bikes for many years and own about 6 different ones of all ages. Found this forum while researching e-bike conversion kits and it has already been of help. I have ordered a front hub drive kit to fit to a tandem to give my wife and I a bit of help on the hills...
