    After a good day of fettling I'm pleased to report success! The battery did fit in the frame in the end.....although only with 3mm to spare....but that's enough to make it easy enough to get the battery in out. I've got it powering a Tongsheng motor and that wasn't the easiest to fit either...

    I've got plated carbon steel rivnuts....my tool (or my hands) can't cope with stainless ones. It will still be touch and go though...and the new holes may need to be very close.......opening the mounting slots on the battery mount may also be the better route.

    Hi all. I'm in the process of converting my OHs bike as a Xmas present. It's a Specialized hard tail and I've hit an issue with mounting the battery on top of the downtube. There's enough space for the battery but not quite enough clearance to position it to slide onto the mount. Any ideas...
