Confused and looking for 48v 250w rear hub since Yose won't sell me 250w 36v kit with 15ah battery

Yes, the thing is I ordered my kit from one (of the two) Yose Power stores on Ebay. So I assume I'd have to contact them via Ebay. Also for a second I thought it could be the battery - which I purchased separately from Greenlance. Not knowing what the issue is, is the reason why I haven't...

Confused and looking for 48v 250w rear hub since Yose won't sell me 250w 36v kit with 15ah battery

Good morning (just about) all. I unfortunately bear bad news. I will try to be succinct. Last Thursday, about half way through the first part of my commute the bike started losing power and stuttering, despite me pedalling it kept slowing down. That went on for about 3 minutes so I stopped...

Confused and looking for 48v 250w rear hub since Yose won't sell me 250w 36v kit with 15ah battery

Thank you Wooshie. From my research back then, I only heard good things about both, provided you picked the correct motor for your needs. Duly noted. So it's 36v 260 rpm or 48v 328 rpm for 700c wheels. Would that be the same for 27.5 also? I reiterate this is just an abstract, non urgent plan...

Confused and looking for 48v 250w rear hub since Yose won't sell me 250w 36v kit with 15ah battery

Sadly I have to agree with you. It's probably just the little boy in me wanting to see what a bike of this kind would be like but it would probably end up being a bad purchase in terms of fit and utility and possibly even maintenance. And I reiterate I don't even like these fat tyre e-bikes...

Confused and looking for 48v 250w rear hub since Yose won't sell me 250w 36v kit with 15ah battery

Because by looking at pictures of said Fiido T1 Pro, it looks like it can be adjusted like most bikes. But upon watching reviews and seeing people in real life as I ride - especially men of taller stature - it doesn't seem to be the case because they all pedal with the same awkward style, with...

Confused and looking for 48v 250w rear hub since Yose won't sell me 250w 36v kit with 15ah battery

Another update from me: Both my Yose power kit and my Greenlance battery have not missed a beat and have been working faultlessly. Fingers crossed they remain that way. I'm really impressed with them, and pleased with the investment I made. So if there's anyone still on their research phase...

    Battery Fires

That's what I've been doing with mine, which is why I found it odd. I will re-read the Greenlance instruction sheet tomorrow to make sure I'm not mixing things up.

    Battery Fires

I need to watch the whole thing but it's late and I'm sleepy. So I'll leave that for tomorrow. A related question for a newbie like me: I'm pretty sure my Greenlance battery instructions' page says to charge the battery with it switched on (-). I think it's for extra security, since it says...

Confused and looking for 48v 250w rear hub since Yose won't sell me 250w 36v kit with 15ah battery

Wow! There really is something for everything out there. Too bad my helmet doesn't have a place where I could fit lights on. But I've seen clip-on type lights that might work with this poncho. I may end up getting one at some point. On another note, I've had my SR Suntour NCX suspension...

Confused and looking for 48v 250w rear hub since Yose won't sell me 250w 36v kit with 15ah battery

That makes sense but I find myself alternating the use of either side of my brakes, so I guess it's been worth the trouble to me. -- Another update from me: I've been really impressed with the range I get from my Greenlance (20ah 36v) battery so far. I ride on level 5 and pedalling. I can...

DFT consultation on increase of 250W limit to 500W

This looks promising - 500w is what it's allowed in Canada. I hope it doesn't come with a help of regulations, like compulsory registration, insurance, etc. I also concur I wouldn't like to see speedy fat tyre e-bikes on pavements shared with pedestrians and dogs. If it were up to me, I'd...

    1st Bafang conversion -sense check

I have been using my 20ah 36v battery from Greenlance for about a month and I must say I have been really really impressed with the range I get from it. I have not yet drained my battery completely but I calculate I can get 50 to 53 miles out of it - riding my 350w rear Yose kit on level 5...

Confused and looking for 48v 250w rear hub since Yose won't sell me 250w 36v kit with 15ah battery

Just another quick update. I installed one side Saturday, I waited a full 24 hours to then epoxy the magnet. My brake lever (Shimano MT200) was awkward to find a suitable place to epoxy the sensor to but I got there in the end. Testing it and upon finding it worked well, I got inspired and...

Confused and looking for 48v 250w rear hub since Yose won't sell me 250w 36v kit with 15ah battery

Believe you me @Cadence, you have given a lot back. Especially regarding Yose kits for people like me. Thank you. I'll try again tomorrow morning, given what little bit more I now know, it should work - hopefully.

Confused and looking for 48v 250w rear hub since Yose won't sell me 250w 36v kit with 15ah battery

It seems silly now but I assumed I had to get the 'error 25' code every time I pressed the brake lever. I thought some bikes - or display brands - had a dedicated special brake engaged symbol on the display. So I thought the c500/Yose display had this 'error 25' instead of a dedicated symbol...

Confused and looking for 48v 250w rear hub since Yose won't sell me 250w 36v kit with 15ah battery

I haven't grasped it fully but will give it another read in a bit. After trying fitting the thing twice my brain needs a breather lol. That's interesting. I'd heard Tektro did hydraulic brake levers with sensors in them for ebikes, but they're really expensive. I also never installed or bled...

Confused and looking for 48v 250w rear hub since Yose won't sell me 250w 36v kit with 15ah battery

I've had another go and failed again. The distance parameter seems to be 2-3mm. My brake is tricky to fit the sensor/pad. But I placed the sensor, and the magnet to the lever. While pressing the lever I turned the display on. I got error 25, I let go of the lever, the error went away. But...

Confused and looking for 48v 250w rear hub since Yose won't sell me 250w 36v kit with 15ah battery

Thank you Saneagle for the thorough explanation. I've read it once, but shall be reading it a few more times to grasp it a bit better. I'm little shocked that the 3-pin sensors are trickier, I assume it'd be plug-and-play. ----- I just remembered Yose have a dedicated 'instructions' page on...

Confused and looking for 48v 250w rear hub since Yose won't sell me 250w 36v kit with 15ah battery

I tried rehearsing the installation of my brake sensors just now, using double sided tape and electrical tape to temporarily fit the sensor and the magnet in place, and it seems I have a faulty pair of sensors. Here's why I think that is so: When I switch the bike/display on I get: 1 - with...

Help! Yose Power 250w 36V kit throattle problem at 6km/h mode

https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/yose-250w-rear-hub-motor-with-lishui-350w-controller.44857/ Read @Cadence 's thread. If you want to fully unlock your throttle on your 250w kit, you need to order a new controller from Yose (it comes unlocked, since it fits their 350w kit). If you also...
