why is this even up for debate?

The funny thing is most of the drivers turning left never indicate and I'm not saying just to make me look better. When I turn onto the road I'm heading straight for the outside lane. Now any cars behind me and going the same way don't indicate as there isn't time to do it. So let's look at...

why is this even up for debate?

Clearly you don't know this area of London as I do. Also not a one off by any means. I have cars behind me beeping the horns for me to move out of their way. Now I'm on the third lane on the left, the second lane is full of cars and the first is the bus lane. Where am I supposed to go, I'm...

why is this even up for debate?

The post you're referring to, you first mention motorcyclist and the further on you mention two wheelers. I assumed you were still talking bikers. Yes I did miss the point you made about turning left. To which the majority of injuries happen to cyclists. No decent biker should be in that...

why is this even up for debate?

Then your stance is to encourage others into using the box or going over the white line. As you see this as a safety measure for motorcyclists. Yet it is still against the law so perhaps technically you might be seen to be inciting to breaking the law. In all the years I've been using the...

why is this even up for debate?

Tell that to a court of law . My stance is simple the rules are there not to be broken but to be followed. Your stance is I'm above the law so stuff it. I get where you're coming from but a court would not. By your logic driving on a 40MPH road at 60 is the safest way for you to drive...

why is this even up for debate?

My brother was knocked off his motorbike last month and lost his right leg. So I'm well aware of how dangerous it is on the roads. I know he would not cross the white line. A work mate of mine cycling home whilst stop at traffic lights had his front wheel over the line. The police in...

why is this even up for debate?

I live in London also and sometimes It's not practical , but then there are times when yes the close pass was completely unjustified. If I had cameras I would have reported the drivers. The law is a protection and cyclists do need protection. Yes more often from themselves but certainly...

why is this even up for debate?

You mention motor cyclists. How many times I see them in the box at traffic lights meant for cyclists is a joke. It's the ones that stop past the solid white line that really are pushing it. I'm not talking front wheel over it I'm talking whole bike. Why is there little or no moaning...

why is this even up for debate?

Then what you are saying is ,a cyclist , motorist going though a red light without causing an accident hasn't broken any laws because there was no victim. It's a simple case that a law has been broken here. Most laws are there to prevent accidents. Such as traffic lights and near passes.

    Lost keys for battery

I beg to differ. When I looked into getting replacement keys myself. Key cutters told me they didn't have the blanks and as they are high security keys. . I'd have to go back to the manufacturer . Glad I didn't as I already have the keys to cope with the issue.

    Lost keys for battery

I worked in maintenance at Great Ormond St, we were given keys called jiggler keys. You stick them in a lock and jiggle about and with luck they work. I tried them on my battery, the first was a no, the second was a yes. I'd like to have ago at your lock for the hell of it. I bought a chain...

    Motor cutting out, thoughts?

Well the part arrived today and there were no extra costs. Also it turns out the company are legit. The only problem is the part may not be the one I want as it doesn't have the ring around the axle part. I'm not in the mood to get down and dirty with greasy parts. The motor is working...

    Motor cutting out, thoughts?

https://www.overrunningclutch.com/product/244.html I just received an email telling me they received USD could I send another 95 USD. I took a gamble and it didn't pay off. So as I have earlier said this company might be worth trying out. Probably best not. What bank tells someone they...

    10% off - New UK DIY e-bike parts/kits website

I have a 28 inch wheel, on the website the nearest wheel size you have is 29 inch. The specs didn't mention the drop out size. Mine being 13.5 cm. Looking at my bike 29 inch would be a very tight fit.

    Motor cutting out, thoughts?

It's actually coming from China, if I do go ahead I'll probably use my bank, as I looked at paypal and I can't make any sense of it. Getting a new hub is problematic. The best option is a Yose kit with a wheel . I don't want to be messing about with spokes. My original wheel is a good one...
