    Stop hating ebikes

Tom, yobbos who want to ride fast steal mopeds. They don't care how old they are. KTM, the original poster is Danish. There is a different mentality to bikes over here. Once the electric bikes came in the shops people started buying them and now you see them every day, they are very common...

    Stop hating ebikes

Fmm1000, Mange Tak. I liked these videos. My biggest moan about Electric bikes is that manufacturers mostly aim their advertising at the aged and the infirm. I like to ride the mountains in Mallorca on my touring bikes, but also find Electric bikes great fun. Your videos show that Electric...

    Scooter conversion - help needed

Hi Tom, We sold both the Tonaros to our friend and his wife last year. They are still running well on the original batteries...well one battery was duff from the start but that replacement still runs well. I would still recommend them for a bombproof electric bike. But 2 more motorbikes meant...

It's been quite a while since I have been on the site and have forgotten who the best guys for advice are and so I hope someone can help me. This is a bit of a fun project. My commute is a 36km undulating round trip, starting at 4 am. I am 57 now and sometimes I feel I could do with some...

    Bike for long fastish commute

I have been using a Tonaro Enduro for the past 3 years for my 36km round trip to work and it gets me there and back without rechargin, if I want it to. However, I did buy an extra charger to keep at work and I often top it up at work. Its on the original battery and still charges up and rides...

    Frozen brakes and gears

Hi Guys, thanks for that advice. I will get it back in the house for the weekend and let it dry out. The rear brake lever was totally solid. I have wrapped a big piece of cloth around the rear brake assembly and the lever is now working as it should. I think I will replace the cables and...

Cost of winter/ice tyres killed it for me & why don't people help you when you fall?!

I can sympathise with you Gsol. I have come off in the snow and ice before. We get a lot of it in Denmark. I have solved the problem for myself. I use a Kickbike both in the Summer and Winter. It does not set any landspeed records as I travel at about 13kph in the winter, But it gets me...

    Frozen brakes and gears

Jannie rode her Tonaro Compy to work the other day and parked it in the bike shed. When she came out the rear brake lever and gears were frozen solid. I had the bike in the house for a couple of hours today and everything thawed out and worked fine. After about 10 minutes outside they were...

    Another cyclist death this morning.

We have a similar problem in Denmark. I am an ex LGV driver and in my opinion they can decorate the truck with as many mirrors as a vespa scooter, put on sensors, whistles and bells. But the only way this type of accident will ever stop is when cyclists start keeping away from trucks...

    International travelling with ebike

If you could fly with the bike and battery another problem that you would possibly come across is that the bike would exceed the airlines maximum weight limit for a bike. Another suggestion is to post your battery to your destination and then . How economical that is, I do not know. Just...

I said Cycle Path not Psycopath!

In Denmark we sometimes have to share our cycle lanes with pedestrians and low powered mopeds. If I am approaching pedestrians from the rear I give a polite "Ding" on my bell a long way back and then a repeater if I can see they have not heard me. I often slow down and thank them. In 10 years...

I wear cycle shoe covers from Evans cycles. They fit over my Shimano MTB boots and keep my shoes and socks dry. Problem solved. Steve

    Slime is it any good??

I don`t like the slime gel but find with Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyres and Schwalbe tubes that I don`t need the gel, because I don`t get punctures. I think the gel is just false economy. Buy decent tyres instead. Steve
