Thanks. I would have thought so but there is no indication in the standard, also a 48V battery (nominal voltage) the maximum voltage will be different depending on the chemistry.

I believe this is the right forum to ask this question as there are a lot of ebike manufactures on the forum. The EN15194 standard on ebikes is for systems using battery voltage up to 48 VDC. Would a 48V ebike battery comply with the standard as the voltage when fully charged would be greater...
