I am hoping to take my Agattu on the train soon but I have noticed that the cycle policy for the train network I want to use states"no motorised bikes". Does this mean ebikes are not allowed? Or should I just put my battery in a rucksack and hope for the best?

I quite agree. I have had the same problem on a cycle route here in Lancashire. Only option is to turn around and go back the way I came. So annoying. Bike just too heavy to manoeuvre. At least I have the option to do that. Disabled people do not have that luxury.

Hi. You can cycle on the seafront north from St Anne's through Blackpool to Fleetwood. The website for Lancashire county council cycling is good. I think most of the route is Sustrans route 62. It is a good run and makes use of the battery on a windy day. Hope this helps.

I think you have perhaps been unlucky with your battery and/or charger. I have had my Kalkhoff with Impulse battery since June 2012. It still shows 5 lights after a 5 second press. Hopefully you will be sorted once your replacement arrives. Looking out of my windows, I don't think we are missing...

Hi, I "celebrated" my 60th with a trip across USA from Chicago to San Francisco on the California Zephyr train. Also cycled across Golden Gate Bridge which renewed my love of cycling. Can thoroughly recommend it!
