    Woods valves

I have just ordered a BBB Windgun pump from Chain Reaction which works on all three types of valve and also has an integrated gauge - so I guess I have now answered my own posting!

    Woods valves

Hi, I have just had Marathon Plus tyres fitted, and now regret not changing the valves from Woods to Presta/Schrader. However, given the hassle of the tyres, I don't fancy going through all that again to change the valves. However, the pump that I have is not very good and I'd like one that...

Any thoughts on a clicking/rattling sound

I have had the same problem with my Agattu and the yellow markers are slightly out of sync which is probably why I have difficulty engaging in a lower gear. How do I align the markers?

    50Cycles- Excellent after sales service

I couldn't agree more - I got my Agattu within a couple of days of ordering and they did their best to help me out when Halfords couldn't remove my rear wheel to replace the tyres. I have nothing but praise for 50 Cycles.

    Agattu help needed

John, Thank you - that's really helpful - with that info and Flecc's, I can provide some further guidance - I am really missing that bike.

    Agattu help needed

Thanks Flecc. When I was there, they were flumoxed by the gears and were concerned that if they did anything then they would breach the warranty that I have on the bike. Having undone the brakes and the wheel nuts, there was the additional task that they had to do to release the wheels and...

    Agattu help needed

Hi all, I'm feeling a bit bereft. I ordered a pair of Marathon Plus tyres for my Agattu from Halfords. They managed to take the front wheel off and changed the tyre. However, they could not remove the rear wheel due to the gearing and claims that the rear wheel is set up in a way that they...

at what fitness level does non electric become more suitable

I agree with you on that. I know that I would not be able to handle the hills near my home without the Aggatu and as a result, I have been using the bike for commuting for the past week that I have owned it. I don't think I would have become such a committed cyclist with a non-powered bike...

    Panasonic Battery Charging ?

Hi Bob, My limited experience is that it takes well over 4 hours to fully charge the battery - it is more like 5 hours+. By fully charged, I mean that I charge it until all the lights go out as I am pretty sure that it says to do this in the manual.

    Bike security

Hi, Have any of you heard of a 'data tag' system which is a way of marking your bike in such a way that the police can identify your bike and it is far more difficult for professional bike thieves to make your bike 'clean'? As most cycle thefts are opportunist, I'm not sure whether this is...

    Aggatu tyre size?

Oh, I see - thanks for your advice and the link - I'll order them on the net and find someone to fit them.

    Aggatu tyre size?

So, are you saying that the 700-35s are inappropriate and I should go for at least 700-38s?

Decisions that need to be made before you buy your electric bike.

Although I've only had the bike for less than a week, I can see that my use of the car will become less and less - probably used at night and for 'big shopping trips'. I feel totally addicted to my Aggatu - already!

Decisions that need to be made before you buy your electric bike.

On a more practical point: Can you store it securely (at work and at home)? Will you actually use it? Given the cost, these were my considerations (albeit nothing to do with the actual bike).

    Aggatu tyre size?

Thanks Citrus -that's helpful. The shop only has 700-35 tyres - are these significantly different from 700-40's? As a novice, it is all numbers to me!

    Aggatu tyre size?

Quick query before I head off to the bike shop only to find that they don't stock my tyre size. What size Marathon Pluses would I need for my Aggatu? I'd like to phone them first rather than waste a journey!

    First commute

I'm pretty sure that I want to change over - ironically, I have to take this afternoon off to get home (on the bike) to take my car in for repairs to two punctures. So, I've got two car punctures and trying to avoid a third on the bike - I don't think this will be a cheap month!

    First commute

Yes, I saw that advice too - I'd rather not have the puncture in the first place, if at all possible, than have to worry about repairing them. Given the amount of glass and tree/hedge debris on my route, I'd rather go for something that I know would provide as much protection as poss.

    First commute

Well, I've completed my first commute - very happy with the performance of my Aggatu as it got me door to door in 50 minutes which is just about how long it takes in the car on a bad day. The glass on the cycle paths is a nuisance - is it worth going for the Marathon Plus tyres and changing the...

That sounds pretty conclusive. Are they easy to fit and what are the best makes?
