    Going to bite the bullet!

Update!! Having tried and tried to contact Greenbike through there contact page about a rear rack for battery and not having any success, I have decided to just give it a miss. It's just been a waste of time.

    Going to bite the bullet!

So it will be the 36v15ah 20A/40A battery with rear rack to fit this battery. Thanks again trex I really appreciate your help and advice and now feel confident enough to go ahead and order. PS what size motor do you have 250W / 350W or more powerful?

    Going to bite the bullet!

Hi Trex, Thanks for your reply and glad you think its a good kit. I thought about making a box to go on my rear rack but maybe i should just buy a battery rack like in your picture. Perhaps maybe this battery combination? http://www.greenbikekit.com/headway-36v-38120-rack-battery.html Or do you...

I would be very grateful for just one piece of advice. Knowing that there are many knowledgeable people on here i'm sure i...

Case studies - how has your electric bike changed your life?

The 8fun crank drive sounds great. I have been thinking about fitting one to my cargo bike for a while. Where did you buy the kit? I know Whoosh bikes sell the crank but with no battery. Because i'm not much of a mechanic i would feel much more confident buying a complete kit.

    8FUN BBS01 Crank drive

I would still need to weld some mounts on the front forks as the front is a coaster brake. I think I shall just convert front and rear brakes to V-brakes and then decide what system to go for, or does anyone know of a system that works with back pedal brakes but doesn't cost a fortune?

    8FUN BBS01 Crank drive

Thanks for your reply d8veh, i think it might be easier to get a frame builder weld some V-brake mounts on the frame get a new hub for the back wheel and take it from there. Maybe then i might go for this one EK20F36R | 8Fun 20 inch Wheel New Electric Bike Conversion Kit | LED Dashboard,Li-ion...

    8FUN BBS01 Crank drive

Hi, I am fairly new to the forum and to electric bikes so please go easy on me. I have just fitted the 8Fun hub motor to my mountain bike and am very happy with it. I am now thinking of fitting the 8Fun crank drive to my cargo bike. My question is will it work with a back pedal hub brake?

Sussex Kalkhoff and Moustaches bike dealers.

Thanks for both of your replys. I am going to drive to Kingston upon Thames tomorrow and have a look at the Kalkhoff bikes. Just a shame there's not any dealers in Sussex and as for here in Brighton where I live, well e-bikes haven't been invented yet.

    Crank Drives! (again)

This does seem to be the general consensus on what I want to achieve with electric power. Maybe i just expect to much and am to unrealistic about what electric can do and just be content with riding on the flat and small hills and pushing when i have to. Any hill I need to climb is only going to...

    Crank Drives! (again)

Not tried one yet, I know they have one on a cargo bike at The Electric Transport Shop, think i will make a appointment and give it a try out! Found this video of one on a velomobile ( think thats what there called ? ) Looks good! Very flat terrain and fantastic cycle paths though ! MUV4...

    Crank Drives! (again)

Joking apart I am drawn back to my original plan of using the Sunstar ibike S03 system. I just think it would allow me to ride my bike at more controllable speeds but give me the push I need to tackle the steep hills, and I'm not sure if I want a throttle on my bike as I still want it to feel...
