    Cateye computer Enduro 8

The problem with all these computers is that you have to perform lots of functions with only about three little buttons. I have used an Enduro 8 for years, but always have to refer to the manual if I need to alter anything - it's hardly intuitive!

    The road less travelled

In Somerset is Nempnett Thrubwell, my favourite, and also Gurney Slade (as used by Anthony Newly as a character in "The World of..." in the '60s). But check this out; it claims to be the ultimate list: Ultimate List of Funny British Place Names - Anglotopia.net | Anglotopia.net

We have Trotters Bottom not far away, and Bladder Wood just down the road. I must have a look at some Somerset names tomorrow; many curiosities there!

    eZee frame failures

Incidentally, WWC told me: "The motor is our first generation BLDC with planetary gears". Any idea roughly how that would date the bike?

    eZee frame failures

I have just received another email from WWC, and it confirms what Tony said above. "If you are going to use the bike, You have to check regularly any sign of fracture at the top tube near the head tube where the reinforcement gusset ends. the stress are concentrated near the ends of the...

    eZee frame failures

Thanks for that information, Tony. I shall certainly be keeping a very close eye on that area (and the others that were suggested - thanks, guys) from now on, though I would hope that after this amount of time I can be reasonably sanguine that my bike is not one of the dodgy ones.

    eZee frame failures

Does anyone have any information about frame failures in some eZee bikes a few years ago? I have just discovered from reporting my frame number to Wai Won Ching that mine is one of the ones that should have been replaced by 50 Cycles, the distributors at that time, who did not honour their...

Do you regularly wear a cycle helmet?

That's a very good, detailed article, and explains succinctly (though hardly in a nutshell!) why I and many others choose not to wear helmets (apart from just not liking them for discomfort/looking like a wally reasons). There; I can't believe I actually contributed to a helmet thread!

Yes, I'd support that. My first home was in Hove (though born in Shoreham).
