brake calipers.

I'm converting a Giant Roam 2018 using a mid-drive kit, and the bike has Shimano Deore hydraulic brakes as standard. The kit comes with the magnet-style motor cut-off sensors which attach to the handlebars, which I'd would prefer to not use since I've read they can be fiddly/unreliable...

I bought a set of Clarks brake calipers for £15 when getting bike going last summer. I'm now thinking they are not the best? Is there much difference in performance with brake calipers? I'm thinking yes now but originally I was thinking maybe not really for what I want.
