10mm Fork question?

Excuse me if this is a stupid question but... after using the file to make 9mm drop outs 10mm, does that mean that the original QR wheel would not now fit ?? Hard to tell by looking at the QR mechanism how it actually works?

The QR axle stubs will be a bit sloppy in the drop outs though should tighten up as normal, just depends on how the wheel feels when riding and at speed.

Not a stupid question at all, I've done this with a front wheel.
I was a bit concerned about the extra movement so made a couple of short spacers out of some thin copper tube which I had lying around, I'm pretty sure it's micro bore central heating tube.
This has worked fine for me though as Nealh says I think it would probably tighten up without.
