Hi, have now had ebike 6 months and as most read lots of info on battery care. 1 thing keeps nagging me, when I got mine I charged battery until green light then stopped. Recently have read a new battery should have an initial 12 hours, is this correct am I too late or just carry on as normal?
Thanks

Follow the manufacturer's instructions. If there aren't any, you did it right.

Years ago, though there are still some around, some management systems in the battery would take their power from a single cell, so if you left the battery for a long time, that cell would be lower than the rest. The balancing system works quite slowly, which is why they recommend a long first charge. There are other factors too that can unbalance cells if you leave a battery for a long time.

As long as you use your bike regularly and mostly charge it until the light goes green, any balance issues should sort themselves out.
