I think the frame is what's being referred to, photos of both crossbar and stepthrough. Listing details says unisex, which seems to indicate step-through, but the frame description says "trekking and touring" which I'd think of as more likely to be crossbar.

Perhaps it's "buy one, get one free".

Sold my battery there in 48 hours. There is the occasional bargain to be had on the off-chance you run into someone who is selling from your POV as a buyer.

True enough.

The only time I ever used ebay was in successfully bidding £16 for a brand new £500 Panasonic power unit.

The seller turned out to be local and delivered the same evening free as well.
