Hi all.
I'm looking for a quality battery for my 500w Tsdz2 motor. I purchased the bike pre built by its previous owner from new. It came with supposedly a 48v 1000w Chinese triangle battery, which he was quick to say was more like 650w. The Maxcail battery is now failing to fully charge @ 52.6v. and will shut off around 45v. I'm looking at Samsung 25r 10ah, Samsung 30e 17ah or maybe something in between. Obviously the higher ah would last better as I also run f/r lights very occasionally but are heavier. The 25r are lighter and cheaper but are they good value? It's hilly here in Cornwall but my ride to work is only a couple of miles. It would be great to have a battery for longer runs if possible though, 20 miles? I mainly use settings 1 and 2 but do have some steep hills that need 3 or 4. Any advice would be gratefully accepted.

Samsung 30e ?
If you mean 30Q then hmm, they have been known to suffer fromself discharge.
25r are a proven high quality cell, even 10a x 48v has 480wh so good for 25+miles.

My 21700 12s 2p battery of Molicel 42a is 370wh and I get at least 22miles towing a heavy laden trailer with my 48v 250w tsdz2.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I'm getting my e and q mixed should've been 35e. Nice to hear a good review of the 25r as this seems a reliable option and as you've confirmed the mileage would be sufficient for its price!
