Hi, I am new to the forum - but have been hovering for a while.
Been doing a lot of reading and think i have narrowed my choice of ebike down to three: cyclematic power plus - powercycle salisbury - juicybike sport
But still not sure - my commute is approx 5 miles each way five or six days a weeks...
What do you guys with more experience think or do you have a alternative ebike - my max budget is £800..
Thanks in advance - Great forum.....

Hi roadster where abouts are you? For £800 i i like the Juicy have you ridden any of the bikes yet? If you havnt can you get to Buxton and speak to Bob? If not he does have people selling them in different parts of the country so there might be somewhere near to you.

I am also searching for a bike and im trying to ride as many different types and so far the Juicy is very good especially for the price and importantly i dont think you will have any issues with back up, Bob seems very committed to his customers

Depends on the hills you might encounter. The Cyclamatic and Powacycle are both low powered systems, the Juicybike a better choice if you want a fair amount of assistance and better steep hill capability.

If I had £800 then I would go for the Juicybike rather than the others.

It ticks all the boxes (for me anyway), such as the 36v battery vs the Cyclamatics 24v. Has disc brakes, lights and mud guards.

Hi Jon, Thanks for prompt reply - i am Midlands based so Buxton not to far. Have not ridden any of the bikes - would love to take the time to try them but do not have the spare time at the moment - will let you know how i get on. Thanks again.

Hi Fless, Thanks for reply, my commute is quite flat, but i might still need plenty of assistance - it has been years since i cycled...

Hi z0mb13e, Thanks for reply, looks like the Juicybike is the one to go for - the one think putting me off is the replacment battery price compared to the cyclematic etc.

But the reward it will give you in terms of performance and enjoyment throughout the life of the battery will easily justify the additional running cost.

I understand your concerns about price but its a good quality battery and Bob is confident it will last a while. Chat with him and he will explain it all. If you were to compare the cost of that compared to the running of a car for the same period it is actually a lot cheaper

I'll add my two pence worth - Juicy bike well worth a look, esp. if you can get to Buxton and play up and down the hills! Can't fault Bob for after sales service. Whatever you decide on enjoy & tell us all about it!
Best wishes,,
Tom
