This is great idea

Shockbox helmet impact sensor looks out for athletes' noggins

Regardless of any other function it may perform the ability for the device to automatically call for assistance and provide location data to emegency services is amazing.

I used to do a lot of off road mountain bike trails and, when riding alone, one of my big worries was that I'd fall and injure myself in such a way that I could not call for help.

This device should get you help and get it quickly

clever stuff

If you mean a helmet, make it quick so I can steam the Xmas pudding in it!
Your far to valuable to loose to a careless driver, so we will steam the helmet permanently to you bonce....

This looks novel too........
That looks just the job for getting my wakeboard and kit bag to the nearest lake without sacrificing my rack for one of these :

Bike Balance Surfboard Rack Kit : Bike Balance

... can't imagine what the British Rail staff would say if you turned up at the platform with it asking for passage though .... might be that one step too far for them to get their heads around

Exactly. At the very least it must do something about the whole balance dynamics. The whole idea of it still scares me to death - a bit like those heavy wax cotton rain capes straight out of "It Shouldn't Happen to a Vet" where you can't see your handlebars, feet or anything once you're fastened in .... but I'm sure both are extremely effective as they seem to be in great demand !
