Ananda m100 Motor/ D10 display Throttle addition

Hello all, I just purchased a Shogun eTrail Breaker 3 eMTB with the Ananda m100 Mid Drive 100nm 250w motor. I absolutely love it. I have been unable to do physical activity for a long time and am finally feeling empowered to get out and work on my health again! I live in Australia and we have strict laws that limit some features of ebikes out of the box.

I am trying to wrap my head around what I can do to my new daily commute. The biggest item I am looking to add is a hand throttle (thumb/twist/half twist etc). I cant find much information on how this would work on this particular bike.

I don't know where the controller is located on this bike and have seen diagrams online with pin connectors on the motor under the cover so suspect it could be part of the motor itself?

If anyone can shed any light on how I can add throttle control to my bike that would be great!

One will have to double check the Aussie laws, here in the UK a thumb twist/half twist aka throttle are illegal for EN15194 EAPC's unless thay have been certified.

It is likely if adding a thumb twist that one will wander off in to the realms of a motor vehicle class such as a moped /motorcycle which may incur heavy fines / points on your licence if caught out by the plod.
