It might be unused but it's certainly not new, the lack of connector box makes it 2008 or older.
If the battery hasn't been kept topped up then it may be useless.

Just called the chap. he bought them before Christmas from a shop that was closing down, somewhat reluctant to share the name:D Has ridden one a bit, for approx 10 miles. the other is still in wrapper. was a bit surprised when I said it was not the latest model, but he is open to offers....could be a bargain for someone as long as battery OK :)

get the serial no and check with wisper

I also think the chap is genuine

The photo isn't clear but I think it could say Works905e rather than Works905se, it will be worth clearing it up before bidding.

didn't Wisper "sack" a dealer in that part of the country for apallingly poor customer service? it would be hard enough here in the East to find a single Wisper in a bike shop, let alone two...

hard to get feedback after only having been an e-bayer for 2 days...
Agreed, but its a lot to ask when your first sale item is £800 and you have no other sales. Many bad sellers recreate accounts. I guess the answer would be to go and see the bike before payment.

i agree with your agreement..:) ..i think when the price of an article is high one of the reasons people on e-bay are happy to pay "cash on collection" is it gives them a chance to see it and test it, and a reason why so many sellers are happy to sell on the same basis is they can avoid paying e-bay the "final fee's"...which might not be a lot on a pack of razor blades but when the article is in the hight hundreds then it is a lot...having not read more then the first couple of lines of this auction as i dont read what isnt of use to me, im not even sure the "cash on collection" is even applicable here, but if it doesnt state it and im after buying something expensive from an individual then i would ASK !!!!! for a look befor i pay...(thats only my thoughts of course and in no way am suggesting a way past the red tape, therfor i accept no barrage of abuse about defrauding the system..:)

Technically the seller is a trader and is bound by the distance selling laws but only with the 'buy it now' option. I bet he won't abide by the rules though if it goes wrong.

not argueing with you here but just exchanging information as we have different,im not sure why you say "technically the seller is a trader and is bound by the distance selling laws but only with the "buy it now" option"

as e-bay says this...Are you a trader?

A trader is someone who makes some or all of their living from regularly selling goods. Technically it's up to the courts to decide but it's usually pretty obvious… think of it a bit like this.. you’re trader if you:

Sell items that you’ve bought to re-sell
Make items yourself and sell them for profit
You’re a private seller if you:

Sell your own stuff that you don't need anymore

offering the buy it now option doesnt make someone a trader..

Sorry I wasn't very clear, distance selling regs apply to buy it now but not to auctions. So you have more protection from buy it now, I can't quite remember why but I think eBay likes to hide that bit of info.

That's from 2004! I pretty sure the PP T&C's has changed a number of times since then....

13.15 Credit card chargeback rights, if they apply, may be broader than PayPal protection programs. Chargeback rights are not limited to specific amounts per transaction, may be filed more than 45 days after the payment, and may cover intangible items.

You may pursue a Claim or Dispute with PayPal, or you may contact your credit card company or credit card issuer and pursue your chargeback rights. You may not pursue both at the same time or seek a double recovery. If you have an open Claim or Dispute with PayPal and subsequently file a chargeback with your credit card company, PayPal will close your Dispute or Claim, and you will have to rely solely on your chargeback rights.

If PayPal does not make a final decision on your Claim until after your credit card issuer's deadline for filing a chargeback or after your bank's deadline for filing a dispute, and because of our delay you recover less than the full amount you would have been entitled to recover from the credit card issuer (that is, the chargeback amount which is the amount paid through your credit card in the relevant transaction), we will reimburse you for the remainder of your loss (minus any amount you have already recovered from the seller).

Before contacting your card issuer or filing a Dispute with PayPal, you should contact the seller to resolve your issue in accordance with the seller’s return policy as stated on their eBay listing or website.

There is also the protection offered by paypal.

Paypal protection.....joke of the year !!!!!!

did you know that if you buy something off someone and use paypal and they for example dont send you item,or item is duff or item is wrong one.. if the seller has NO MONEY in their account,Paypal CANNOT get you a refund.. we had first hand experience so we know, and yet Paypal still bombard everyone with the "safe" and "protected" words....

ive bought the other one with the rack in the picture not advertised on ebay, the seller just doesnt know much about ebikes, and might give more info by telephone, ill let members know if ive made the right decision when it arrives its on its way. if its as described 2008/9 off road switch battery maintained ive got a bargain (less than bidder will pay}, and ill see if the Wisper is as good as many of the members say it is. If not then its the doghouse,
