BMS reset

I inadvertently shorted (only for much less than a second) across the charging lines of a 24Volt Lithium battery. There was an impressive spark and I now have no volts across the output lines of the battery so I suppose the built-in BMS has shut me down. Can I reset the BMS? What can I do? Many thanks.

Is there a fuse between the charge socket and the BMS? If it's one of those behind the seat post batteries, lift the handle and look underneath where it was sitting.

Thanks for the ideas on the battery with no voltage – it seems this is an automatic overload shutdown feature of the Battery Management System or Battery Protection System on some batteries and it is alarming. I found that the next day I could simply put the battery on charge which woke it up and then charged it.
