Hi guys, So i have a 10S5P on charge with a new BMS fitted. The initial charge from RED to GREEN measured 40.80V. I've left the charger plugged in for at least 12 hours and the voltage is now measuring 41.06volts.

The BMS is one of these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10S-Li-ion-Lithium-Cell-36V-40A-18650-Battery-Protection-BMS-PCB-Board-Balance/232864260321?hash=item3637caa0e1:g:NBcAAOSwGZxbWie1

If any cell group is greater that 4.2v, i can see from the pcb board that the extra power is dissipated across a 150R surface mount resistor, and the charging of other cells groups stops until the over voltage cell group reaches <4.2v...This is why it is such a slow process right?

Is there a BMS type that someone can recommend that can do the balancing and charge monitoring a bit faster?

Most BMS balance slowly in the same way, the fact voltage is low indicates one or maybe two cell groups are out and BMS don't balance very well is far out. It might be best to check all cell groups via the sense connecter to see if that is the case.
