I know this has been done to death and I've searched through a massive amount of posts. I recently replaced the chain ring on my Cube Cross Hybrid Pro 2018. While I had the bike in my stand with the chain off, I pedalled the bike forward and the gears sounded reasonably smooth. When I wound the pedals backwards the motor makes a rumbling noise consistent with bearing wear. However, I'm pretty sure it sounded much the same when new. My bikes nearing the end of warranty and I wondered if other owners had any experience with this?
My dealer in Sheffield is currently open to deal with priority repairs for people with key jobs during the pandemic. I don't qualify as I'm laid off due to the governments cock up with furlough payments for people that changed their job in February.
Any help or constructive comments would be appreciated as my bike is my only form of exercise currently and far safer than going for a walk.
