I'm having trouble with my Bosch Rack Battery lock. I can't remove the key when it is in the locked position. It was always a bit troublesome but now seems irrecoverably so. (The whole mounting rail setup is badly designed so its easy to get the battery in and working but not properly seated; we may have damaged the lock a bit through that?)
Luckily it works with the battery in and unlocked (we will need care of course).

I can see some spares but not sure how compatible different bits would be. The associated nurses lock (which we never use) with the same key is branded Trelock RS350. Would the AXA equivalent be compatible for example (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Axa-Unisexs-Bosch-Battery-Black/dp/B07BB7WHBH, or https://www.ridewill.it/p/en/bosch-2100808-standard-cylinder-for-rack-mounted-batteries-classic-/781778/)? Is there any way just to change the cylinder?

It's also not obvious to me how the assembly will come apart to do the replacement. The videos at https://www.e-bikeshop.co.uk/Bosch-eBike-Battery-Mounts-Removal-Installation look helpful.

Any advice before I start ordering bits or pulling things apart would be very welcome.

I just remembered, for long after the end of WW2, anything that was considered rubbish was called "A LOAD OF OLD BOSH!" (we did not know the correct spelling then!!)
It fits perfectly even today it seems!

I think I was being silly after return from being away a few days. It wasn't coming out in the unlocked position, but I don't think it's meant to. (Still awkward mounting the battery on the rails and easy to get wrong, and slightly uncertain removing key in the locked position.)

It appears to be working as it should, preventing you removing the key while unlocked.
Its a not uncommon safety method.
