Hi, I have 2 new ebikes, both 3 months old and kept in a integral dry garage, on 1 bike the chain and cassette always has a light rust on them. I alway clean both bikes and dry lube chains, is this normal?
Thanks for any reassurance.

Any time the bike's used in the wet the chain will show what you describe afterwards. There is grease in the rollers and, so long as you don't use a degreaser, that will cintinue to lubricate for many miles.
The to lubricate or not debate is long and ongoing. Some use heavy oil but thi allows dust and grit to stick forming a grinding paste. Some use nothing at all. At the end of the day the chain is one of the cheapest items to replace, so I would carry on as you are.

I use gear oil like hypoid 90 and gently wipe off excess, it's a lot cheaper then the potions in tiny bottles the bike traders want to sell you.
