We made the decision that almost all the new Kudos Pedelec and e-bike ranges should be powered by the latest LifePo4 (Lithium Phosphate) battery. It seemed a no-brainer to us with the following considerations but would welcome others opinions.
Price-our spare batteries are priced from £159.84(24vx10Ah),with the popular 36vx10Ah at £208.80
Cycle life-1500 to 1800 recharges
Recharge time-3 hrs from 10%>full,1 hr from 50%>full.
Weight-about 20% heavier than equivalent LiMn
Green to dispose-no harmful toxics
Storage-if stored below 25degC for 12 months will maintain 98% of their capacity
Working Temperature range- minus 20degC>plus70degC
Memory effect-Nil
Safety-stable in operation,no need for protection devices.
