QUESTION EDITED,
I bought a new 750 watt Bafang hub motor which comes with a different plug fron their 250/350/500 size motors.
is there a commercially available cable to join the small round 9 pin socket in the harness and the larger 9 pin plug on the motor? The controller is a 25 amp max out put controller powered by 48 volt batteries so adequate although the smaller cable size could be a concern if worked hard for any period, not so?

Model numbers and pictures will help, especially any markings or engravings on the motor.

Pics please and don't forget your bike is likely to be confiscated if stopped.

Cable with three heavy pins are your Phases, the other split cable with two separate connections are likely needed and are likely for Hall sensors. One may be a separate speed sensor and the other for the main three Halls.

But unless we see pics we can't be sure, plus a link to the item purchased.

Just a thought, some re sellers may have custom wire connectors , hence why you have three. If this is a custom job then it is to extract more cost out of you meaning that you have to use any proprietary products to connect the hub to.

Maybe they have fitted a heat sensor ?

I think I will have that problem shortly (but the other way around) as I have to upgrade a controller from 22A to 35A and they have different plugs as shown below. I think I will just chop the cables and join at the controller end as there is another connector at the motor end. 64188
