Controller flashing after battery replacement

Hi :)

I have just replaced the battery (and holder) on my wifes cargo/kids ebike. I removed the old battery and holder, and did at temporary connection (before screwing things into place) of the new holder, battery, cable connections etc, and everything worked great. (yay!)

Then I messed up. When done with the final mounting, nothing worked. No lights on the controller or anything. I think I probably switched the cables around, and put the back the right way. Now everything lit up as expected, and things looked good.

They weren't.

The motor is a bafang/8fun of the pedal-pressure activated variety. As soon as I applied pressure, there was no reaction, and the middle light on the controller started flashing. But absolutely no power.

I have attached pictures of the controller, and of a little "appendix" on the cabling. I wonder if this is a fuse (that I might have toasted)? Or did i fry the motor??

Any input is welcomed - I have no documentation/manual for the conversion kit :-/

Cheers,
JJ, Denmark
