just looking at fitting after market controller and reading their fitting instructions quite straight forward but they say on one of the connection for it to work it must be shorted out we asked the to explain but they were unable. Anyone fitted one or can explain

My interpretation is the wires would normally go through an on/off switch, if not available join together.
Probably provides a low level signal to tell the controller/motor to work?

The ignition wire is normal on cheap controllers, especially the ones without a control panel. The red wire is connected directly to the red battery wire inside the controller, so it's battery voltage coming out, and the blue one provides the power for the controller's pcb. If you don't connect them, the controller will have no power.

I thought that but it’s neg and positive the two wires. so i don’t know
and china don’t seem to be any help
