As usual there are fantastic claims for the bikes, but seeing the link to MIT put the dampener on for me. It's probably their daft radio controlled electric wheel or a derivative, very low powered and limited in so many ways I won't even bother to list them.

Yet another stillborn scheme I'll bet, anyone still remember the MonVal Electra bikes from a year or two ago?

Would be nice to have some more uk made electric bikes though, especially as a development of industry in the uk making new more enviromentally friendly technologies, help us grow out of recession

isn't there a perfectly good Scottish e-bike company called Alien? Haven't heard them mentioned as much as previously but I expect they are still about. A lass on another forum (based in Scotland) I use said she lived near where Alien's factory/workshop is situated...
