Hi all
I am waiting for my bike to arrive!
Trying to find anything out about this bike is almost an imposibility. The nearest info I can find is about a Volt Mariner, which is not UK specification. The Volt and Fat Mini are identical apart from motor size, throttle? The Fat Mini is to UK spec.
On social media there is a number of posts about water problems, affecting the controller. Having many years engineering experience, I am making plans to deal with this issue.
I have posted here, to get any results on any issues you have, with your cycles and how you have overcome them?

Don't seal the controller compartment completely. Every time I've seen a drowned controller was when somebody tried to seal its compartment, which stopped the water from getting out, not in. Always leave the bottom edge unsealed - or the hole in the bottom if the wires come in from underneath.

I wasn't planning to, eventhough I have some liquid gasket paste! What I am planning to do is spray the controller with electric circuit protector. Like the spray used in the days when cars had a distributor and leads. Stops any water or moisture from getting to it?

The controller is already sealed. I've never seen one fail because it got water in it. It's the connectors that can corrode after a few years or get shorted by water.

I was also thinking of giving everyone a spray, to eliminate this. Also connector shrouds and any other type of repellent grommet that I can fit. The entry gland on the controller is a concern, giving that a good spray coating. Looking at other controllers, there seems to be some kind of gasketing, so perhapse a spray on the retraining screws!
I have managed to source inner tubes, extra lights, some sticky carbon effect patches to protect the frame. Thinking of putting some of that green puncher inhibiter in the tyres as they are fat's.
New helmet, gloves here.
Just want a speedy recovery and to get out!

If you are struggling to find out any info about the bike, try a search for Radrover bikes. I'm assuming that without seeing a photo of your bike, that it is the same as the Radrover mini.

Oddly, a bike that I have long loved the look of, and fancied trying.

It seems a shame that the UK version doesn't appear to have the same compliment of front and rear rack. Legalities of use aside, it is also a bike that I have in the past, thought about buying for my wife.
Being very short and not having a great sense of balance, I felt that it could be the perfect bike for her.

Thanks for that. The nearest I can find is the Volt Mariner, but it's not UK spec! This is the Mk1 Fat mini. I have on order the Mk2, lock off on shocks & twin headlights.
