Fitting a hub motor to thru axle dropout

Hi, I was wondering if anybody has fitted a rear hub motor to a thru axle dropout.

A thru axle dropout is 12mm diameter, a motor hub axle motor is 12mm high and 10nn wide.

Would fitting a torque arm require no modifications to the dropouts

Would this require a shim to fit inside the frame dropout to add 1mn to each side of the the frame dropout.
