Forum Membership Status?

I have just noticed that I have been promoted to Member from Junior Member. I tried searching for the 'rules' governing my promotion but could not find any. Can anyone enlighten me further on the governing rules which determine a registered users status?

its done simply on post count (I think its 50 and 100 posts) and this happens on loads of forums its a built in feature of the software.
