found new li-ion battery

Thanks for the information Nathan. We've had much bad experience with lithium batteries so are naturally wary. These don't seem to have a high discharge rate capability despite the claims, and the claim of up to 2000 charges is spurious if they are plain lithium-ion with the usual manganese or cobalt cathodes. Most Li-ion batteries struggle to reach 500 charges.

The only type that has a potential to exceed 1000 charges is the very new lithium-iron-phosphate ( LiFePO4 ), and I'd be very surprised if that was available at these prices. I'm sure they'd proudly advertise it if they were LiFePO4.
