Bit of a silly article though - especially the conclusion. Emma does not seem to have considered that most buyers will not be swapping from a bike but from something that uses less, not more, calories.

It's typical of the coverage e-bikes get from the mainstream media though, speaking to a population largely unaware that e-bikes have been around for nearly two decades.

And that's where the audience is that may buy them of course, perhaps style conscious and unaware of being able to do much better with existing e-bikes.
