HALL SENSE WIRES

hi..was wondering if my rear hub motor would still work without the white hall sense wire its severed inside and dont really want to take the whole motor to bits any help or information would be appreciated thanks in advance :)

The white wire is the speed sensor. It's not needed for normal operation, but if your controller has a sleep mode set, it will go to sleep after the set time unless you can unset it.

You can use an external speed sensor if you have an LCD and want to get your display back. Just cut the sensor of a £2 cycle computer from Ebay or from a defunct one you have lying around. Connect one wire to the white and the other to any 5v, like the motor hall red. If that doesn't work, connect it to any ground (black).

oh thats a relief thank god for that....i will just get a external speed sensor thank you for your reply appreciate it
