Hi all

As you all ready know that I am not technically minded, therefore I am thinking of buying this Electrical tester from Ebay. Can anyone recommend anything better than this tool or is this good enough ? Cheers!

You can get that tool for less than £10 on Ebay if you search further. It fits directly to many e-bikes that were around 5 years ago, but since then, modt have changed over to waterproof sealed connectors so there's no way to connect it without the right adaptors.

It would be much better if you told us about your problems than the proposed investigation.

It first started recently one evening after riding for about an hour and a half when I pulled over to stop for a few minutes. When I was ready to move off the throttle would not respond but eventually after a few twists I was on my way. About five minutes latter I was approaching a slight hill incline so I fully opened the throttle and suddenly it had cut out, no power to the motor but there was still power to the bike.

This was happening back and forth intermittently for a short time, but now when I power on the bike and twist the throttle NOTHING HAPPENS you can hear a sound of (POWER), coming from the motor as if it wants to go but all it does is hiccup cuts off then hiccups again. Does that ring a bell with anyone? This is definitely a universal fault that can happen to any type of bike I suppose.
Thank you for all your kind inputs.

First, check that your motor connector is fully home. Have you been riding in the rain? Can you remind us which bike it is?

No I haven't ridden in the rain I have checked all the connections and all seems to be at home. My bike is a no name bike I have bought bits and pieces all over the globe including china which have been working all together fine and in sequence for years upon till now. I've changed over the tyres to new ones recently and even those joints/connrctions seem to be ok.

Without knowing what you've got, it's difficult to help.
