Headlight flashing in regular pattern - why?

The light is switched by a transistor in the display. The transistor is switched by another one that's seitched by the CPU in the display. The software in the CPU must have got messed up. Switching it off and back on again should reset it. Alternatively, the switch on the panel might have expanded so much that it got stuck on. What happens if you just hold the switch down?

Thanks D8veh, what you recommended may have worked: touch wood it seems alright now. I'm glad it's not some signal of the ebike equivalent of a blown head gasket or something.

The equivalent of blown head gasket is noisy gears and unscrewable motor cover
