I have some 12 Ah but bought them in UK (Newcastle) to save the hassle of duty etc. The bike pulls like a train :D and not that much heavier than my LiPo.

Muckymits surely the Headways are MUCH heavier than lipos ?

They are also very big.

yes certainly bigger as you need the extra cell, will weigh them tomorrow as I cant find any of the scales, they must all be in the potting shed.

I have this battery, which contains them:
36V10Ah LiFePO4 Battery 38120 Battery Pack with Carrier - BMSBATTERY
It's relatively heavy for its size as are all Headways. Using it with my GNG crank drive at 25amps, I get cut-outs after about 10 seconds of full throttle. No sign of significant sag on LEDs so It might be a BMS problem - temperature or current. I don't get cut-outs with lipos, so definitely the battery.

For the same weight, size and more or less the same money, I got a 20aH LiNiCoMn battery that can provide more current and go a lot further.

I have the 10ah ones that I got from here:

eclipsebikes.com| bikes | electric bike kits | Pedal | Power

And they have been reliable and seem to have a decent capacity and long lifespan (lots of cycles) thought there are lighter battery options out there.

I also like the way it is easy to measure individual cell voltages and change one cell if it does go duff in the future
