Hi.
I have a 7 month old BH Atom Lynx 5.5 2019 that I purchased from 50 Cycles in Loughborough.
Unfortunately, they appear to have totally gone and my engine is broken.
I have had no support from BH in Spain and struggling to get anywhere.
It was suggested by 'Dewey' on 'the electric bike review forums' that I posted my problem on here too to see if anyone can help.
Regards
Adrian

Hi Kwozzy.
That site shows nothing for the UK.... or am I doing it wrong?

Nearest dealer seems to be via Hull to Holland ferry.

50 Cycles are around but in a rejigged form following their bankrupcy - there's a thread on this forum where the company owner pops up and posts occasionally.

Scarily they claim to be still selling BH bikes.

That’s what I mean - there isn’t a dealer in the UK. You might get somewhere by speaking to a European supplier. They may be able to help out with parts that you can get fitted locally.

Do you know what the issue is?

50Cycles have mentioned something about becoming a B2B business, once they sort out their CVA

Yeah, the nylon helical planetary gear has sheared.... same problem as the befang motors. Apparently this is a Dapu motor..... although it looks nothing like one!

If you sent the dimensions of the gear to an ebike supplier that does motor parts, they may be able to help provide a replacement.

Just to put this one to bed.....
All fixed now.
I found a retired engineer who machined a new gear (and a spare) and fitted it and put it all back together for £200 - all works perfect, albeit, the motor is a bit noisier.
Happy days....

The planet gears can be bought separately and usually held in place with a circlip, overall diameter, inner diameter, thickness and teeth count are required.
Nylon or steel are available if you search carefully.
