Looking at the coming winter I'm starting to consider how to keep the battery conditioned in the winter. As I understand it the battery needs to be used at least once a week as Lithium batteries prefer to be used. My question is what sort of amount of use do they need. Can I just hitch up the back wheel and run the throttle for a minute or so, or does it require more?

a mile a week if you can. Give it a top up charge after 2-3 months, once before Christmas then at the end of Feb. Keep the bike dry.

I might give the bike a run monthly if that over winter and charge then, I would take it out more but my body doesn't like the cold :)
My batteries are both 4 years old and still run like new.
My folder gets no use over winter but I plug the charger in every few months for a few hours, still runs fine but only a couple of years old.
