Hi, a dumb question probably, but how do I separate the battery from the mount. I have tried pulling, pushing, sliding, making sure the key-operated lock is disengaged, but so far nothing. As it's plastic, I'm reluctant to use tools and too much force. Thanks.34615

your picture shows the battery in the unlocked position.

You can insert a flat blade where I indicate in the picture, twist the blade to separate the battery from the base. Once it's loosened, the battery will come out quite easily.

It isn't very smooth. If you can (I can't as I live in a flat and can't be carrying my back up and down two flights of stairs), you can charge it while it's on the bike.

You need to carry a piece of wood that you can use as a lever between the bottom of the battery and the frame to push it up and off - only works if the battery is towards the bottom of the triangle.

Lubricate the mating surfaces, not many use it but spread from the fridge is super slippy and only needs a mere smear.
